Social Project Fundraiser

For six months, I lived in Santos, Sao Paulo, studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Rodrigo Cavaca. During my time in Brazil, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to help participate in a social project run in Santos, where underprivileged children and teens are afforded the opportunity to learn Jiu Jitsu and train under the many qualified instructors who run the program.

Upon returning home, I collected a large amount of training equipment, with the intention of sending Jiu Jitsu kimonos for men, women and children,as well as boxing, muay thai and MMA sparring equipment back to Santos, to help outfit the students and ease any potential financial burden. Speaking personally, martial arts had a significant and direct positive impact on my character, and I hope to see others affected in this way as well. Now, I am undertaking this project again for the VB Team Social Project in the Cantagaldo favela of Rio De Janeiro.

The proceeds from this short sale of t-shirts will be used to fund the shipping and handling of gear being sent to the social projects of Cantagalo (or at least offset the cost). The pre order window for this design will remain open for the month of September, and then go into print immediately afterwards with an expected shipping date of October. I have chosen to operate this way in order to properly inventory orders and make sure too many, or too few are not ordered. The price <i>includes</i> shipping and handling in the continental United States.
